A Susquehanok village featuring a ring of wigwams within a fenced wall. Indigenous peoples are depicted at the center of the village and also working outside of the fence. In Maryland, the Susquehannock formed villages in what would later become Allegany, Cecil, and Harford Counties. They would, by the 1600s, center primarily on lands along the Susquehanna River. mdhistory.org
