Antique Chinese Carved Wood Temple Statue Of KWAN YIN With Attendants

This fine antique sculpture was made to be displayed in a temple or other place of offering. It is the Chinese goddess Kwan Yin, seated atop a lotus flower, with presented vessel in hand and attendants. In red and gold paint, an aura surrounds her head. On the back of the statue, there is a small wood patch. Inside the sculpture was placed a keepsake/offering, which was then covered to remain with the goddess [a common practice with reverential sculptures in China]. It stands 16.5" in height, a good size. Condition is as expected, with light finish wear from being displayed outdoors. No repairs or losses. A fantastic example!
