Antique Challinor Taylor And Company Black Glass Boot With Spur

This piece can be found in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art where it is dated to1870-90. Piece is not marked so it’s possible it’s a reproduction -except for the color of the glass it matches the one in the Met’s collection It was part of a large collection of antique molded glass. Perhaps used for a small vase or toothpick holder as the top is hollowed out. Top rim has some rough spots either from a molding or flea bites
