Antique Ca. 1880 'GRAND TOUR' NEOCLASSICAL BRONZE BAS RELIEF PLAQUE- ALLEGORY OF ARTS & SCIENCES

A wonderful antique Victorian era Neoclassical bronze plaque, depicting the 'Allegory of Arts & Sciences', by master sculptor HANS JACOB BAYR. The original being ancient [by BAYR, 2000 years ago], this is a late 19th century interpretation of the original work, created via 1880, depicting the known Greco/Roman fresco of MARS, his muse, and attendants, with a cherub in flight. It is an impressive plaque, solid bronze. As shown, it is in very good overall condition, with old patina and a striking subject matter. Please refer to the photos for a full condition report.
