Antique ASCo Oak & Iron School Desk No 6 From East Granby, CT

This school desk came out of the 1844 Old Center School - 27 School Road, East Granby, CT.  The school initially had long benches and desks and later were replaced by desks and benches suitable for two scholars and arranged in rows.  In 1966 the schoolhouse became a library and this desk was pulled out of the floor and given to town people - Ms. Pauline Ring obtained it.  It was purchased in August - 1992.
