Antique 1918 ROYAL WORCESTER Hand Painted Mottled Yellow Centerpiece Bowl
Bowl measured 12" x 3.5"
Black exterior with and painted stylized flowers and foliage around the rim
Interior is vivid yellow with Trees, flowers and leaf garlands.
The yellow has always been "mottled" it was decorated that way, but a small are in this bowl has been rubbed away, probably when some well intentioned person thought the darker areas were stains.
Other wise the decoration on this piece is in excellent condition.
There are a few scratches on the matte black exterior.
No chips or repairs.
This piece is stunning, very bold.
It is clearly marked on the bottom with makers mark,. The mark, bearing 1 star and three dots indicates that the bowl was manufactured in 1918.
Made in England.
