Item Description

It is in very good condition, with an even patina to the surface. Made by GORHAM, the direct competitor with Tiffany Studios during this period [Gorham was a commensurate luxury maker]. This diminutive whale oil lamp has a clean aesthetic, hand hammered with a removable snuffer [on chain], as well as applied reeded handle. Dates to 1898. A rare period lamp. 3.5" tall.
