Antique 1800's LEATHER STAGECOACH MAIL BAG, Copper Rivets, Pony Express

Amazing piece of history, this stagecoach mail pouch would look great hanging on a wall. There is a geometric design along the perimeter on the bottom panel. The numerous photos tell the story. Please give us a call if you have any questions.

Notes: Please view the numerous, detailed photos for an accurate appraisal of item condition. The leather is perishing, causing it to shed teeny-tiny brown flakes, but only the edges & bottom, and only when handled excessively. It is split along one edge from usage over the years. It is cracked and worn, as you would expect. The fastening belt that would have thread under the steel bars in the front has snapped off and is missing. It smells like the attic of an antique home. There is some corrosion on the steel rivets.
