This is a large coin, solid silver, dating to circa 249 A.D. It was struck in Syria, a Roman province at the time, in honor of EMPEROR TRAJAN I. Referred to as an Antioch Tetradrachm. On the front, a right-facing bust of the emperor. On the verso, a left facing eagle, the Roman STANDARD [symbol] during the period. Overall, a good-looking coin with visible details. Almost 1800 years old.
