An Amazing Pair Of Antique Birthing Chairs

An amazing pair of antique birthing chairs in solid wood featuring traditional three-leg design with decorative cutouts at the top rail and handles and leather seats with nailhead detailing. Birthing chairs date back to 1450 and were commonly used until women began having hospital births in the late-19th century. This pair is in very good condition with evident wear on the leather seat. Please see pics. Approx. 30.5" tall, 19" wide handle-to-handle, 13" deep.
