Item Description

Design legend Oiva Toikka’s iconic collection of Iittala glass birds took flight in 1972. Combining Toikka’s passion for nature and for blown glass art, each bird has its own personality making it a one-of-a-kind art object. Handmade and mouth-blown at the Iittala Glass Factory, the collection embodies a rich fusion of glassmaking traditions and Toikka’s partnership with his master craftsmen.
Collecting Toikka birds has become an international activity with collectors tracking down rarities and discussing favorites with the same enthusiasm as their real-life equivalents in the ornithological world. These lovely little creatures are individually mouth-blown making them a unique treasure in homes, offices or any other space where they nest.

MOVING/LOADING ITEMS:
All items will be brought curbside, unless stated on the listing. It’s important to read the entire listing for additional information. If the item fits through the doorway, it will not be disassembled. If it cannot be safely moved through the doorway, it will be disassembled by my movers. It is your responsibility to load your own vehicle. However, if you do not have anyone to help you load your vehicle, my movers are always available to lend a hand. This service is provided as a courtesy by the auction manager and you should be prepared to tip your movers accordingly. If you do not have cash on hand, they take Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, Cashapp, etc.

UPS FREIGHT / SHIPPING:
