Pair Of Large Foo Dogs

Awesome pair of large and very heavy Foo Dogs or Chinese guardian lion figures on carved bases (one piece, not separate). Overall excellent condition, one has a paw on an orb (Male) and the other has a paw on a small animal (Female). Male lion has a chipped toe as shown and some other small dings - see photos. We did not see any damage on the female. Green patina as if this was copper but it is solid stone. Lots of fantastic sculptural detailing. Also, some mud dauber nests to clean off.

Owner purchased these in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1983 to guard the entrance to their home. These are an important part of a home's Feng Shui.
