Item Description

Circa 1885- yes, 1885! These two are a very rare find. 2 graduated heights Garfiled Drape compotes w/ lids. Excellent condition, no chips or scratches- only minor roughness around rim of lid & bowl. This is the chance to own a piece of art glass history! The smaller is 7" tall & 6" diameter, and the larger is 10.5" tall w/ 8.25" diameter. Truly in extraordinary condition for age! This early American pressed glass is also known as Canadian Drape. Many believe that was it's original name ^ that it was only changed to Gardield Drape in the early 1880's after the death of President Garfield.
