Early 1900's antiquarian edition of Tom Brown's School Days with Eight Colored Illustrations by Thomas Hughes, Clear Type Press, published by Collins: London and Gasglow (undated). 302 pages. Gift inscription on front right endpaper dated Christmas, 1914. Dark green clothbound hardcover with gilt reverse lettering on spine and gorgeous embossed detailing and lettering on cover. Printed decorative endpapers with "Collins Ideal Library". Color plate illustrations are bold and vibrant. Spine binding has fading and some signs of shelf wear but intact. Binding and pages are intact - paper has some discoloration from aging.

Mid to late 1800's antiquarian edition of Tom Brown at Oxford by Thomas Hughes, published by Porter & Coates: Philadelphia (undated). 540 pages. Preface dated 1851. Brown clothbound hardcover with gorgeous embossed detailing and lettering on spine and cover. Chocolate brown endpapers. B&w fronstispiece.
