(3 OF 6)VINTAGE MID CENTURY MODERN EVA ZEISEL IRONSTONE STONEWARE PORCELAIN STRATFORD PATTERN BIRD (GOOSE/DUCK/SWAN) SERVING BOWL FOR SCHMID NKT, JAPAN. This is the SMALLER of the 2 similar birds available of the 6 in this auction. Clever bird head & beak & tail handles. Form & Function at it’s best by a renowned mid-century ceramic designer. A beautiful decorative and/or functional piece. White with blue stenciled design. 6.25” tall x 7”wide, open bowl area: 4.25” wide x 4.75” long. A few black marks on side of head and chest, possibly ink, but we did not try cleaning. Overall, In good vintage condition showing normal signs of wear consistent with age and use. Please see photos. Scarce in the market. #3 of 6 pieces in seller’s collection available in this auction. This is the SMALLER of the two bird serving bowls of the 6 vessels in the collection.
