1935F $1 Blue Seal Star Note! Silver Certificate
Circulated
Beginning in 1878, U.S. Silver Certificates were distinguished by their blue seals. These notes were backed by the nation's stockpile of silver bullion and could be redeemed for their silver value.
Star note (also called replacement notes) are special paper money issues that are released in much lower numbers than their regular counterparts. That's because they are only printed when a note is damaged or otherwise found to be imperfect during manufacture.
