Item Description

1931 Portable Singer Sewing Machine With Wood Carrying Top/Case - machine made in Elizabethport, NJ. Serial No. AD377998. Added to this lot is a Vintage Collins Nee-Tan-Ezy (Self) Skirt Marker - Pat. W.H. Collins, NY. Sewing ethusiasts/collectors will really enjoy this beautiful machine. Black and silver tone metals - some etching on side and gold colored design. See photos for closer view. AL

Dimensions: Sewing machine (base) 17.25 x 8.50 x 2.75 inches high.
Metal sewing machine (visible on base) 12.25 x 6.50 x 9 inches high.
Cover 17.25 x 8 x 11 inches high, with handle in down position - when extended, brings height of cover to 12.75 inches tall.
Skirt marker, 26 x almost .50 x .75 inches tall.

Notes: Light turns on/off when plugged in - no pedal; wheel turns easily and presser foot works easily with back lever. Wood has scratches and gouges - Some scratches on metal and patina loss. Underside veneer has some loss. Lovely construction overall.

Condition

Consistent with age and use.
