Antique 1800's German Nassau Selters Stoneware Bottle Jug - Rare Seltzer

This is an Antique handmade stoneware bottle circa 1800's
These bottles were used to bottle the naturally carbonated spring water
from the springs in the Nassau region of Germany.
This water was called Selters, or seltzer.

At the time the making of these bottles was a cottage industry.
Features the Nassau Selters logo on the side with the Imperial eagle
and the makers initials and number under the handle.
The number indicates the year, this bottle has a 25, which would be 1825 year.
