#14/ Framed "The Ladies of the Creation- Bloomerism, No. X - Bloomeriana - A Dream, 1851 Sketch Page from British Punch Magazine. This is a hand-colored etching print by George Cruikshank titled "The Ladies of the Creation - Bloomerism" from 1851. It's a satirical take on the Bloomer costume, a women's fashion reform movement of the 19th century that involved wearing loose trousers gathered at the ankles, under a knee-length skirt. The print showcases various humorous scenarios involving women wearing bloomers, highlighting the societal reactions and resistance to this unconventional attire. Framed in a Gold Tone Resin Frame.
