Can't complain about brand new swimsuits at thrift store prices. Great transaction.
Man, that is one BIG nuker! But the auctioneers were so helpful, cooperative, and pleasant that it made the whole p/u experience almost effortless.
Items were damaged and unusable. The steam cleaner had dirty, chemical filled water in it still, which spilled all over my car, because I felt rushed, uncomfortable and overall unsafe and just wanted to leave as soon as possible. At pick up there were unleashed, aggressive dogs and we were instructed to drive off of the driveway, through the yard and the neighbors yard and use the neighbors driveway to leave. It was late at night (per manager request) making this an incredibly uncomfortable and frankly dangerous experience. We had to throw away most of what we purchased in this auction. We found this to be an incredibly unprofessional experience and will never be purchasing from an auction managed by this individual again. We hope that Auction Ninja and Clearing House Estate Sales take this review seriously and also discontinue business with this manager.
The auction manager for this sale could have specified the location was a storage unit facility - that would have made the world of difference for those of us assembled outside at the close of pick up.
Of the three of us gathered (and possibly others who were leaving as I arrived) we were all commiserating on how we thought the location would be a condo or apartment complex given the unit number reference. I myself arrived on the residential street interspersed with corporate parks prior to closing, yet navigation and signage had me both undershooting and overshooting the location. At this point meeting other buyers outside now 10 minutes after close, one phones the auction manager to determine if they might still be on site in the maze of buildings but the call goes to voicemail with a curt message stating pick up will close promptly at 2.
Having been on both sides of the process, I appreciate vendors have to vacate the premises, and have 2 clients - the consigners and the buyers. I honor my commitments and structure my day around pick ups (not waiting until the last minute, rather in this instance within the final 15 minutes). To bid in good faith and attempt to retrieve the supplies but end up spending gas and time leaving without our purchases is disappointing, although not as disappointing as how we customers felt after the experience with this auction manager.
No communication, pick up was postponed on day scheduled for pick up. Product pickup was a a storage facility and this is not a legal practice the storage center. I attempted contact through phone, text and via auctionninja.com administrative messaging and I did not get my purchased items nor was I offered a refund. Patrons of this site have certain professional expectations when it comes to how the financial transaction as well as the transfer of goods are concerned. I do not believe this seller shares those standards based on her actions concerning not only my own but others ability to claim their good.
Items were even nicer than expected. Very friendly folks. The double gates were a surprise.
I look forward to Sherri's auctions because of the unique & high quality items that are always as described- or better. She also is very organized and has items ready for pickup and AND she has them in boxes, bags, wrapped if possible too! It is always a pleasure- and I brought more than six different times from this auction owner. I highly recommend!! 5 stars! [Just don't bid against me! :- ]THANK YOU!
