"Washington Delivering His Inaugural Address" Engraving Proof By H.S. Sadd

This engraving is the artists PROOF imprint of the mezzotint engraving plate made by the English engraver, H.S. Sadd. This one was taken from the painting by T.H. Matterson. The names of the Artist, engraver and the word "Proof" are visible under the protective covering, over which the mat has been placed, but to which it has not been glued. The frame shows signs of scratches, chips and damage. There is visible water damage and staining throughout. Sold as is.
