In 1960, he studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the Art Institute’s summer program, Oxbow. Hardy exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Illinois State Museum. His work can be found in the collections of the Birmingham Museum of Art, Birmingham, AL and the Mint Museum in Charlotte, NC. The artist currently resides in Falls Village, CT.
