Antique Mahogany Canopy Bed With Bed Steps 3/4 Size. Canopy is approx. 77" tall. There's supposed provenance to the fishnet canopy over this bed. It is as follows;
"Captain Elbridge and Ermina Woodbury

The Woodbury's lived on Butman Avenue. In his retirement Elbridge spent considerable time at Lane's Cove sitting on a bench near his fish shack. His vessel in the old days was the Charles A Dyer. I remember him as kindly and friendly, a nice old man.

In the 1930s my mother, an antiquarian, owned a bed dating from the early 19th century. She asked Captain Woodbury to make her a fishnet canopy for her bed, and when he had finished it, she made the tassels.

I still have that bed and canopy."



This estate is full of antiques that have been here for many years, unpicked! Most of these treasures have minor to major imperfection, and will not be cleaned, you get the item as is. So PLEASE look closely at the pictures, ask questions and consider coming to the live inspection.
