A SCARCE biography. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 15 cm. Volume 1 = 223 pages with frontis portrait of Washington + Volume 2 = 218 pages with frontis scene of the Surrender of Cornwallis. Front boards are off on both volumes and some loose pages at the front, toning throughout with occasional fox. Both engravings are present. Early stereotyping noted on title page.
