Teddy Bears Washing in two compartments. Villeroy & Boch- Eagle with Mettlach dates 1874 to the 1930’s. Victorian era as to the association with Teddy Bears. Measures 17 inches long, 11.25 wide and 4.5 deep. Two compartments with handle in the middle. There is a chip on the underside of the rim (1 inch by ½ inch) and shows the porcelain nature of the piece.
Could not find similar items. Mettlach produced mostly trade ware and steins. Their porcelain was heavy and durable. This piece weighs nearly 8 pounds.
