Plain paper boards with cloth spine binding. Some separation starting interior but holding. In excellent condition other than the partial separation. No Copies Were Found for SALE, only one copy found in a library at: US, MD; NATIONAL LIBRARY OF MEDICINE.
The Purdue Frederick Company (1892–2019), was an American privately held pharmaceutical company founded by John Purdue Gray. It was sold to Arthur, Mortimer, and Raymond Sackler in 1952, and then owned principally by the Sackler family and their descendants.
The original company that became Purdue Pharma was founded in 1892 by medical doctors John Purdue Gray and George Frederick Bingham in New York City as the Purdue Frederick Company. The company made a tonic compound made with sherry and glycerin. This little booklet was given to physicians on the twentieth anniversary of the company’s founding.
Has the bookplate of Dr. Arthur W. Weysse with his family coat of arms and the inscription: “Semper in Summum” or “Always on Top”.
Notes: Good condition, some internal separation starting but holding. Clean throughout with pasted down bookplate of a physician.
