Item Description

Signed in Photogravure of Calvin Coolidge president by Harris and white plus partial backing ad with Al Jolson. Out of frame. Some toning to the edges, otherwise crisp. Backing was a cut advertisement by Columbia records (period advertisement, 1920s) of Al Jolson with Columbia Record number at the bottom. It has been cut down, so it is NOT COMPLETE, but still an unusual use of that advertisement board. It was used as a backing for the photograph. No frame or glass. Good sized image by the Washington DC firm of Harris and Ewing that produced images of Presidents and other notables until the 1950s. While not a photograph signed by him, this is still a Presidential collectible produced during his term in office.
