Late 1800s or early 1900s Early CDV of Soldier for the Connecticut National Guard with his Medals. 6.5 by 4.25 inches. Reverse has a photographic studio of Stuart in Hartford Connecticut at 275 Main Street. Light bumps at the corners, smudging at the edges on the back, nice clear image. Unknown soldier but he is an Officer because of the double row buttons. Possibly participated in the Spanish American War? Additionally, the photographer, Stuart was a known mystic in Connecticut claiming to photograph spirits? Not much else is known about the sitter but he is an officer (double row buttons and collar stripes).
