Item Description

Franklin Rose, Jr. (1923-2012) During World War II, Franklin Rose became a U.S. Army Air Forces ACE, credited with shooting down 5 enemy aircraft in aerial combat. After the war he transferred to the new U.S. Air Force, and retired in 1965 as a Colonel. Received 2 silver stars, 2 distinguished flying crosses and the Legion of Merit from France.
