Charles Ralph Fischette (1921-2016); Charles Fischette began his World War II service with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and transferred to the U.S. Army Air Forces in 1942. During the war he became a U.S. Army Air Forces ACE, credited with shooting down 5 enemy aircraft in aerial combat. After the war and a brief period in the reserves, he transferred to the new U.S. Air Force, and retired in 1968 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
