A HISTORY OF THE LNER: III. THE LAST YEARS, 1939-48; Bonavia, Michael R; British Railways In War And After. Published by Studio Editions, George Allen & Unwin, 1990; Nearly fine condition in a nearly fine dust jacket. Steam Past series. Black boards, silver title to spine. B/w photos. A lovely copy. The pictorial dust wrapper is orange, retaining color. Most have faded to brownish tan. Nice series about the railways during and after the war and the final demise of the steam powered railroads, the LNER being the most famous steam powered rails running since the early days of British and indeed, global railways.
