A 19th century English W-H-Jackson Antique Made In England Brass Fireplace Bucket. Size: 12.25 inches in height, 13-1/8 inches wide at rim between pouring lip and back. Solid brass "Helmet Form" coal scuttle with a heavy, solid brass bail handle, and a stationary back handle to assist with tilting. The scuttle is solid brass, with dovetailed construction in the back of the piece. It has a heavy, round, brass bail handle with heavy brass handle "brackets", secured with copper rivets. The rear handle, to assist with tilting and carrying, is also solid brass. Usual dings and dents but not objectionable. The developed Patina has not changed. A very nice, working example of fine 19th century British Brass and Copper manufactured products sold around the world.
