Antique Embossed Brass Decorative Plate With Zodiac Motifs

This unique piece is a compelling blend of art and astronomy, sure to be a conversation starter.
The central feature of the plate is a collection of circular medallions, each intricately embossed with symbols that may represent the zodiac or celestial bodies. Surrounding these central motifs are various figures that appear to include animals and mythological creatures, perhaps representations of zodiac signs or symbols from ancient folklore.
Adding to its charm, the rim of the plate is punctuated with a series of raised, three-dimensional figures that leap from the surface, creating a dynamic border. Among these figures, one can discern shapes that resemble classic astrological symbols such as the lion for Leo, the ram for Aries, and others that could be linked to different signs of the zodiac or elements of ancient myth.
