Mustache Cups invented in 1870 and popular through 1920s. The mustache guard would keep men's mustaches dry and prevent the mustache wax from melting.
This cup and saucer dates to late 1800s -1914
Mustache guard adorned in gold, gold rim on plate and saucer.
Pink flowers, blue ribbon intertwined with the green foliage
Both cup and saucer marked with backstamp in green
