Hemingray Chambers CD 317 Glass Lightning Rod Insulator

Per the website hemingray.info: Nicknamed the "Candlestick", this is one of four insulator styles Hemingray produced for the Chambers lightning rod system. These were intended to be mounted to the apex of a building's roof. This particular design came in a wide range of beautiful and rare colors.

Production years: 1877-1880s

See photos carefully for bits of damage. The discoloration and cracks seen on the base are inside of the glass so it still has a relatively smooth feel.
