Vintage Fire Dept BLOCK WEIGHT CFD

Interesting hard to find piece, a hefty iron block weight with original ring for holding the horses in place on the fire engine during a fire. Horse hitching, ground weight. Looks like original red painted finish with earned wear. Consignor said this belonged to the Contooket Fire Dept in days of old. Early 1900's weight, something your fire collection needs.
