Item Description

This is a wonderful sword for your Military collection, RARE HARD TO FIND "Whistle Quillon" (the whistle actually works great having a very loud screaming whistle sound that surely will not be un noticed), Civil War Era Officers sword made by PETTIBONE BROS (signed on the blade) with this name on one side and the US etched mark on the reverse side, attractive etched decorated blade. The sword comes with its original scabbard, the handle has the original sharkskin or Rayskin covering that is bound and braided with wire. The model 1860 was produced from the period of the American Civil War through the time of the Spanish-American War so this is a nice early piece. Please read the provenance as given to us from the estate below, the fancy cane handle we have listed in this auction (sold separately) is etched with the same gentleman's name that used these pieces PLEASE READ BELOW:
