Item Description

SHIP OR PICKUP * nicely carved wooden Figa fist, a taller carving with nice original finish. Read below a blurb about the meaning of the clenched fist with thumb inserted between the fingers:

The gesture is undeniably a reference to heterosexual sex. In ancient times it was a symbol worn as an incantation to The Goddess, a call for fertility, virility and good times (the fig also has close ties to Bacchus).  known as the mano figa or fig sign, is a powerful symbol that has been used for centuries to ward off evil and bring good luck. It is a hand gesture that involves making a fist with the thumb tucked between the index and middle fingers, with the palm facing outward.

Notes: very good, nothing broken, has normal aged wood cracks, ready to display carved piece for display
