BIG Lignum Vitae Wood Mortar & Pestle

This is a LARGE size beautiful antique Mortar & Pestle with gorgeous wood grain I believe it is Lignum Vitae Wood. A rare hard to find piece that was believed this wood would benefit the medications being ground inside it to enhance their nature. It has earned character marks from being used in the Vermont Pharmacy over the years a fabulous piece. THE GRAND DADDY of them all, this piece has nice turned column it is quite heavy for its size with a rich chocolate brown wood tone and beautiful wood grain view the photos to be wowed.

Notes: very good structure a solid piece with use marks/scratched finish, easy to wax up, a real beauty take a look
