Lot Of Russell Wright American Modern Chartreuse By Steubenville

This fabulous lot was designed by Russel Wright in the 1930's by Steubenville Pottery Co., in Steubenville Ohio. The biomorphic forms and softly vibrant color palette made the set very popular. It is made of sturdy and inexpensive earthenware. Here we have a teardrop pitcher with an elongated spout which has crazing inside and out and 1 small chip on the bottom. Gravy boat is 10 1/2" long and has some crazing on the inside and a chip on the spout. Oval divided vegetable bowl has some crazing and chips on the bottom. One lugged soup bowl has some crazing but no chips or cracks. Covered casserole is 9" x 12" x 4". Some crazing but no chips or cracks. The gravy boat and bowl are not marked. This lot is pick up only.
