Battle of Ypres 1914 - 1916 French souvenir sword badge
A scarce original First World War period antique battle brooch, in the form of silver plated crossed swords, the centre displaying crowned town crest between laurel sprays with 1914 - 1916 ribbon scroll bearing complete set of suspended gilt lettering spelling the word 'YPRES'. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, minor wear to plating.
Height approx 32mm.
