Item Description

Listed is a Victorian ebonized wood mantle/shelf clock by clock maker Wm. Gilbert of Bristol, CT dating from the late 1800's. It features the patented "regulating pendulum" patented by Gilbert in 1883. It also features silver reverse-painted glass with pheasant and cat tail imagery. It is not in working condition and there are condition issues - it is missing a top center carved decorative piece, the key is missing and the pendulum is not attached. It measures 16"h x 11.5"w x 4.5"d. See photos for details.
