Item Description

An antique Japanese hand painted Satsuma vase with signature underneath. The vase has figural handles depicting komainu or lion-dogs. The vase shows depictions of traditional Japanese figures. It stands at 15 1/8" tall with the designs well raised throughout the exterior. The mouth of the vase is gently scalloped while the base has raised sections with artists signature underneath. In good antique condition, there is overall crazing and some sections of glaze loss at the foot from age and use.
Can be shipped.
