Item Description

Japan Showa period (1926-1989) Tanto-knife.
A Tanto is a hand sword similar to a samurai sword but much smaller. This piece overall measures just over 9.25" long. It is a Japanese knife with both a wooden handle and matching scabbard decorated with ivory. The flange of the blade is connected to the handle with a pin. Silverplate knife rest.
Good condition.
