Welcome to 1794!
This lovely Stonybrook Home sits on 3 acres of land surrounded by 12 acres of state lane. First built in 1794 by Jedediah Williamson, it remained in the family for two generations until it ...view morewas sold in 1951 to a family named Ploch.
Mr. Ploch headed a Manhattan bank. And, in his later years, a bank in Stony Brook. He was an avid collector of historical items, including a chess set that Benjiam Franklin once gifted to a local family.
Agnes Ploch, his wife, was a local historian who belonged to the three-village garden club. It has been said that, as a historian, she often educated others when attending meetings about discoveries. They were the perfect couple for this wonderful historic home.
The home has remained in the family after their passing, along with their historical treasures.
The family has decided to downsize and pass their home on to the next family, allowing us to auction some interesting items. An on-site sale will soon follow, including many early 19th-century and late 18th-century pieces.

Bring packing materials as we cannot supply them. Larger items may require you to bring additional help. Staff is not available to help you to your car. Movers may be available at an added cost. We cannot guarantee availability.
ITEMS UNCLAIMED will be Forfeited and left with Artifacts2Go.

NYS has recently clarified its regulations on sales tax collection requirements as it pertains to out-of-state shipments. In effect, we are required to collect sales tax for ALL PURCHASES regardless of where the shipping destination is, with the only exceptions being either:
A) the shipping destination does not collect sales tax locally (Such as Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon) or;
B) you have a valid resale certificate - Must be entered in the Auction Ninja platform before the end of the auction. Please understand we cannot refund your taxes after the auction ends.
