This is a Japanese woodblock print that currently resides in a private collection. The print, measuring 23" x 12.5", is in excellent condition and is unsigned. The artist responsible for its creation is Hanabusa Itchō, a painter, calligrapher, and haiku poet born in Osaka in 1652. Though initially trained in the Kanō style under Kanō Yasunobu, Itchō eventually rejected this style and became a literati, or bunjin, instead.
Notably, Itchō also went by several other art-names, including Hishikawa Waō.
