Beautiful mid-20th Century Boehm stamped porcelain fledgling red poll figurine.

Measures 4" tall and the base measures 4" at the widest point. Has the horse emblem, Boehm, Baby Crested Flycatcher, 495, made in U.S.A. stamp on the base.

Features a gorgeous porcelain fledgling red poll perched up on a large branch asleep with its beautifully detailed head poked upwards. This gorgeous fledgling has colors of browns, white, redish-pink and black. Its head is done in beautiful colors of brown, grey, white and redish-pink, its beak is black and the underbelly is redish-pink.

Boehm figurines were created by Edward Marshall Boehm. He was a ceramic artist who incorporation his passion of art with his love of nature to produce figurines of birds, animals and flowers in background settings accurate to the tiniest detail. His first works were made in the very early 1950's in Trenton, New Jersey under the name of Osso Ceramics. He died in 1969 and the firm has since been managed by his wife. True Boehms are marked with various backstamps, all of which have incorporated the Boehm name since 1951.

The figurine is in wonderful condition with no chips, hairlines or repairs.

This gorgeous piece would definitely grace any room well. A great addition for any Boehm or bird
collector.
