VINTAGE STUDIOGLAS STROMBERGSHYTTAN, SWEDEN GLASS VASE DESIGNED BY HAKAN GUNNARSSON, LATE 20TH CENTURY

Stunning vintage "Swedesign" vase designed by Håkan Gunnarsson for Studioglas Strömbergshyttan, Sweden, late 20th century, the slightly flattened cylindrical form of sommerso glass in black (deep amethyst) within clear, one side with a slightly asymmetrical suspended "curtain" of 24-karat gold flakes, fire-polished rim, ground base, approx. 7" tall by 3" wide by 2-1/4" deep, with the "Studioglas Strömbergshyttan AB, Sweden" label.

A bold yet strikingly elegant example from this Swedish designer, one of the three master glass artists who founded the "reconstituted" Studioglas Strömbergshyttan in the mid-1980s.
