VINTAGE PAINTED WOOD PISTON OR "SKYSCRAPER" INDUSTRIAL FOUNDRY SAND MOLD, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

Terrific vintage industrial foundry pattern or sand mold, early 20th century, painted and varnished wood in two identical complementary parts fitting together (via metal pegs and grommets) to form a piston-like or "skyscraper" shape, the overall dimensions of the assembled mold approx. 18-1/2" x 4-3/4" x 4-1/8".

A striking example with plenty of vintage industrial/steampunk presence with the pieces displayed either together or singly.

Notes: Expected surface wear with dings and rubs to paint, otherwise fine, sturdy, attractive condition, with no losses
