VINTAGE HEAVILY CARVED NEO-BAROQUE/HOLLYWOOD REGENCY GILTWOOD DEMILUNE CONSOLE TABLE

Splendid vintage console table, made in Spain, mid-20th century, heavily carved wood in neo-Baroque taste, antiqued gilt finish, shaped demilune top, scroll-and-foliate carved cabriole legs, two front stretchers angling back toward a long rear stretcher, the openwork front apron and stretchers with large carved medallions, the overall dimensions 42-1/2" wide by 11-3/4" deep by 31-1/2" tall, the reverse bearing the original label reading "Artesania, Made in Spain."

A spectacular, supremely elegant handmade example to add a handsome accent to your Hollywood Regency, traditional, or contemporary foyer, hallway, or other room.

Notes: Scattered rubs and losses to gilt exposing red bole underlayer; a few old repairs to stretchers and medallions; otherwise very good, sound condition, with rich, pleasing untouched patina
